Aceret 25mg Capsule, containing Acitretin, is a medication primarily used to manage severe psoriasis and other skin conditions. It helps control rapid skin cell growth, alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life.
Regular liver function tests are recommended, as Acitretin can impact liver enzyme levels. Caution is advised in patients with pre-existing liver conditions.
Patients with kidney issues should consult a healthcare provider before using Aceret, as adjustments to the dosage may be necessary.
Avoid alcohol both during and for at least two months after treatment. Alcohol can increase Acitretin's side effects and prolong its presence in the body.
Aceret may cause dizziness or vision changes; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms.
Aceret is highly contraindicated in pregnancy due to the risk of severe birth defects. Effective contraception is necessary before, during, and for three years after discontinuing the medication.
It is not recommended to use Aceret while breastfeeding, as Acitretin may pass into breast milk and could affect the infant.
Acitretin, the key component in Aceret, reduces the speed of skin cell production, helping to relieve symptoms like redness, scaling, and skin thickening associated with conditions like psoriasis.
Psoriasis and Related Skin Conditions: Psoriasis is a long-lasting autoimmune disorder that causes skin cells to multiply rapidly, resulting in thick, scaly patches. Aceret, which contains Acitretin, helps by reducing the excessive growth of skin cells, thereby relieving symptoms such as scaling, inflammation, and itching. It is particularly beneficial for severe cases of psoriasis, including pustular psoriasis, and other keratinization issues, contributing to improved skin health and comfort.
