ALBENDAZOLE is a member of the 'anthelmintic' class of antiparasitic medications used to treat parasite worm illnesses such as neurocysticercosis (an infection brought on by the pig tapeworm) and cystic hydatid disease (an infection brought on by the dog tapeworm). Furthermore, illnesses brought on by flukes, roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, whipworms, pinworms, and other parasites are treated with ALBENDAZOLE.
The potential interactions between alcohol and Albendazole are unclear. Kindly speak with your physician.
If you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, avoid taking Albendazole since it may be harmful to the fetus. If you are concerned about this, kindly consult your physician.
Avoid breastfeeding while taking ALBENDAZOLE and for at least five days following therapy. If you are concerned about this, kindly consult your physician.
Patients with renal impairment could require dose adjustments. If you have kidney impairment or have any concerns about this, please see your physician.
For patients who have hepatic impairment, a dose change may be necessary. If you believe you may have a liver impairment or have any questions about this, please see your physician.
ALBENDAZOLE may make you feel lightheaded. If you're not paying attention, don't use machinery or drive.
Albendazole is used to treat worm-related illnesses. To cause the worm to run out of energy and perish, it prevents it from absorbing sugar, or glucose. This medication can only be obtained with a prescription from your physician.
Intestinal worms or helminths are other names for parasitic worms. They infect and feed on their hosts, causing illnesses and weakness. Intestinal worms often come in two varieties: flatworms like flukes and tapeworms, and roundworms. Ingestion of tainted water, food, or soil, contact with tainted excrement, inadequate sanitization, and inadequate hygiene practices can all lead to worm infections.
Diarrhoea is an uncommon side effect of Abd. Please consult your doctor if you experience diarrhea after taking Abd.
Deworming pills such as Albendazole, Mebendazole or Zentel are usually given to children twice a year to enable the child's body to absorb nutrients, vitamins and minerals easily. The deworming tablets help expel worms from the stomach and prevent any sort of infection.
A: Zentel 400 mg tablet should be taken in doses and for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it with a glass of water after your meals.
Abz 400mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Take this medicine with meals, especially with food containing fat, to help your body absorb the medicine better. You may crush or chew the tablet and swallow it with water.

Abd can be taken with fluconazole. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
Abd works by killing the larva and the adult form of the worm by inhibiting tubulin polymerization which causes energy depletion and decreases the mobility of the worm and hence kills the helminth.
Abd works if taken for prescribed duration in prescribed doses as advised by your doctor.

Abd is safe to use in people with G6PD deficiency. Please consult your doctor to know more about drugs which are to be avoided in G6PD deficient people.
Abd 400mg Tablet is an antiparasitic medicine, used for the treatment of parasitic worm infections. It works by killing the worms that cause infections and stops the infection from spreading.
ZENTEL is used to clear worms or parasites from the gut and other tissues. ZENTEL is effective against threadworm or pinworm, roundworm, whipworm, tapeworm and hookworm among others. ZENTEL is thought to kill these worms by causing them to starve. The eggs, larvae and adult worms are affected.
Abd does not kill the eggs of the worms. It acts against the larva and the adult form of the worms.
Bandy Plus 6 mg Tablet is used to treat intestinal worm/parasite infections. It suppresses the growth of worm/parasite causing Filariasis, a disease characterised by abnormal enlargement of different body parts, especially legs.
Abd is used for the treatment of pinworms (Enterobius vermicolaris). Abd is active against the larval and the adult stages. Consult your doctor before taking any medicines for worm infections.
Abd is not an over the counter (OTC) product. It is a prescription medicine.

Is Zentel Tablet an antibiotic? Yes, Zentel Tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It is used to treat various infections caused by worms.
Small animals (dogs and cats) In small animals, albendazole is not usually used for routine deworming; it is often used for uncommon infections. In cats and dogs, albendazole can be used to treat Paragonimus kellicotti infections.
Abd is not used for the treatment of scabies. If you think you are suffering from scabies, please consult your doctor as it requires proper diagnosis and treatment.
It is usually taken with food twice a day. When albendazole is used to treat neurocysticercosis, it is usually taken for 8 to 30 days. When albendazole is used to treat cystic hydatid disease, it is usually taken for 28 days, followed by a 14-day break, and repeated for a total of three cycles.

In Treatment of Parasitic infections Bendex 400 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine which helps treat many parasitic worm infections. It works by killing and stopping the further growth of parasites causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly.
Abd is used for the treatment of infections caused by helminths (worms) like Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm/threadworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworms), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Strongyloides stercoralis, animal hookworm larvae causing cutaneous larva migrans, and Opisthorchis viverrini (liver flukes) and Clonorchis sinensis. It is also indicated for the treatment of Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. (tapeworm) infections and has shown good activity against anaerobic protozoa like Giardia lamblia and Trichomonas vaginalis. Please consult your doctor before taking any treatment for worms as there could be many worms against which Abd would not be effective.
