It a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). It is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, Wilsons disease, and cystinuria.
It works by blocking certain chemical messengers responsible for inflammation, thereby reducing pain, swelling, and joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis. In Wilsons disease, it aids the body in removing excess copper. For cystinuria, it enhances the solubility of cystine, preventing stone formation.
Use it in dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
Consuming alcohol with this drug does not cause any harmful side effects.
It is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.<BR>Taking Aaramine 250 Capsule right after nursing and waiting for 4 to 6 hours before nursing again will minimize the harmful effects to the baby.
It does not usually affect your ability to drive.
It should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of this drug may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<BR>Use of this drug is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
It is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of this drug may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
