However, corns and calluses are hard, thick pads of skin caused by pressure and friction.
What should prompt me to discontinue Zitcare?
You should discontinue Zitcare and consult your doctor if you experience severe local irritation, which means severe redness, dryness and itching and stinging/burning sensation.
Should Zitcare be left overnight?
At the beginning of the treatment, Zitcare is usually used once daily in the evening. The area is not washed off after application of Zitcare, so it can be left overnight unless you experience irritation. However, if you experience irritation, consult your doctor.
How long does Zitcare take to show its effects?
You may see an improvement after 4-6 weeks of treatment. You may need to use this treatment for longer to see the full benefits. This is normal for acne treatments. If your acne does not get better after 1 month or if it gets worse, talk to your doctor immediately.

How should Zitcare be applied?
Soak the affected area in warm water for 2 to 3 minutes. Dry the area thoroughly, using your own towel, so as to avoid infection. Carefully apply a thin coating (one or two drops) of the medicine to the top of the wart, verruca, corn, or callus. Avoid the medicine from spreading to the surrounding healthy skin. Allow the medicine to dry for a few minutes to form a small white patch. This patch sticks to the treated area and is water resistant. There is no need to cover the treated area with a sticking plaster. Wait till the next evening, carefully peel or pick off the white patch of dried gel from the wart, verruca, corn, or callus.
How often should I apply Zitcare?
The initial dose is preferably once daily in the evening. Later, the doctor will gradually increase the dose to twice daily (most probably morning and evening).
