It is used to treat Parkinsons disease, providing better control of body movements and preventing excessive shaking and stiffness.

It increases the concentration of dopamine in the brain, a chemical crucial for controlling movement. This action helps relieve symptoms of Parkinsons disease, such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and difficulty moving.

Take as advised by the doctor, with or without food, preferably in the morning. Maintain a consistent time each day for dosage. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered; do not skip doses. Do not stop suddenly without consulting the doctor, as it may lead to confusion, stiff muscles, and high fever.
 
Reduce/avoid a high-protein diet to prevent unsafe high blood pressure. Inform the healthcare team about all other drugs being taken.
