Introduction to Tazret Forte Cream

Tazret Forte Cream is for external use only. You should always use it exactly as your doctor has told you. The affected area should be clean and dry before application. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. You can help this medicine work better by keeping the affected areas clean.

Common side effects include itching, skin redness, irritation, dry skin, skin burn, and skin peeling at the site of application. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Avoid direct contact of the cream or ointment with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention.

Avoid sun exposure and cover the treated areas with clothing or use a sunscreen before stepping out in the sun. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding as it may lead to birth defects.

How Tazret Forte Cream works

Tazret Forte Cream is a form of vitamin A. It works by slowing down the rapid growth of skin cells, and blocks certain substances which cause inflammation (redness and swelling) on skin. This reduces scaling and thickening of the skin in psoriasis and clears acne.

How To Use Tazret Forte Cream

  • This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

What precautions do I need to follow while applying Tazret?

Tazret should not be used on healthy, eczematous or inflamed skin, as it may cause severe irritation. Externally used medications and cosmetics that have a strong drying effect should be avoided. What is Tazorac used for?

Tazarotene (Tazorac) is also used to treat psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body). Tazarotene (Avage) is used to reduce facial wrinkling and discoloration in patients who are also using other skin care and sunlight avoidance programs.

How do you use Tazret gel?

A thin film of the Tazret Gel should be applied once daily in the evening. Care should be taken to apply it only to areas of affected skin, avoid application to healthy skin or in skin folds. Treatment is limited to 10% body surface area (approximately equivalent to the total skin area of one arm).

Is Tazret safe to be used in pregnancy?

Tazret is not advised to be taken during pregnancy. An effective birth control should be used for a woman of child bearing potential. Tazret is used for treating acne along with reducing blackheads and whiteheads. It acts by slowing skin cell overgrowth and decreasing skin cell inflammation, which can lead to acne.

Using fingertips, apply only enough foam to lightly cover the entire affected areas of the face and/or upper trunk with a thin layer; gently massage the foam into the skin until the foam disappears. Avoid the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Wash hands after application. Patients may use moisturizer as needed.

The recommended duration differs for different ailments. The symptoms of acne usually improve within 4 weeks of treatment with Tazret. However, for treating psoriasis, the symptoms may take about 1 to 4 weeks in showing improvement. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.
