Prilox Cream combines two local anesthetic drugs that show a numbing effect on the affected area. It can be applied on normal or unbroken skin, but before using any procedure, such as inserting a needle or suturing the wound, so that there is no pain.

The use of Prilox Cream during pregnancy is considered safe. Human studies have been conducted very limited; and in animal studies it was found that this combination had little or no adverse effects on the developing baby.
Prilox Cream is unsafe to use while breastfeeding a child; it is evident to pass into the breast milk that could harm the baby.
Prilox Cream is a combined preparation of Prilocaine and Lidocaine. It exerts its action by blocking pain signals that are transmitted from the affected area to the brain. Its blockage reduces the pain sensations.
Dermatological procedures refers to laser treatments, minor skin surgeries, and cosmetic procedures. Needle insertion are generally followed by blood draws, IV Cannulation, and vaccinations. Minor skin conditions belongs to the treatment of localized pain caused by insect bites, minor burns, and sunburns.
