This medicine is effective in treating intermittent claudication (this is a condition that typically occurs in the leg in which a person may experience pain, cramping, and muscle discomfort)
This condition can occur due to exercise or constant excessive movement, which also appears to be normal at rest
In this condition, there is no proper blood flow in the muscles and the chances of blockage and narrowing of the arteries are increased which can lead to peripheral artery disease
It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of medicine may be required. Please consult your doctor.
Not recommended if you’re pregnant, consult your doctor for specific information.
Not recommended if you’re breastfeeding, please consult your doctor.
It may hamper attention and make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Avoid driving if these symptoms appear.
Exercise caution when using it in individuals with kidney disease. Adjustments to the dosage may be necessary, so it's important to seek advice from your doctor.
This medicine contains Cilostazol as an active ingredient that prevents platelets from sticking by widening the blood vessels. Broad blood vessels prevent blood inadequacy by increasing blood flow in the lower limb.
Claudication is pain or cramp in the legs caused by reduced blood flow, usually during exercise. It happens because your muscles aren''t getting enough blood due to narrowed or blocked arteries. The pain often goes away with rest.
Nimesulide was as effective as paracetamol in reducing fever, local pain, and general discomfort. Nimesulide therefore appears to be at least as effective as paracetamol in terms of antipyretic and anti-inflammatory activity in children with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and fever.
Is Nimulid Tablet safe? Yes, Nimulid Tablet is safe if taken for prescribed duration in prescribed doses as advised by your doctor.
Yes, if a patient is scheduled to undergo a surgery, then Pletoz should be stopped 5 days before the surgery. The reason being, Pletoz increases the risk of bleeding and may lead to excessive bleeding during surgery.
Pletoz reduces your risk of developing blood clots in the blood vessels of your leg, lungs, heart and brain. You may not feel any difference after taking Pletoz. However, keep taking this medicine as prescribed by your doctor because you will still be getting its full benefits.
Cilostazol is used to reduce the symptoms of intermittent claudication (pain in the legs that worsens when walking and improves when resting that is caused by narrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood to the legs).
Yes, Pletoz increases the risk of bleeding. Always be careful while doing activities that may cause an injury or bleeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any abnormal bruising or bleeding.
Cilostazol is used to improve the symptoms of a certain blood flow problem in the legs (intermittent claudication). Cilostazol can decrease the muscle pain/cramps that occur during exercise/walking. Claudication pain is caused by too little oxygen getting to the muscles.
Since Pletoz widens blood vessels, it generally decreases blood pressure. Therefore, if you are taking medicines which lower blood pressure, you should be careful. Taking Pletoz with other blood pressure lowering medicines may decrease your blood pressure to very low levels. Track your blood pressure regularly, and consult your doctor if dose adjustment is required. Pletoz has also been reported to increase blood pressure and the reason for which is not known.
Pletoz should not be given to heart failure patients of any severity because it may worsen heart failure further. Medicines having similar effect (phosphodiesterase inhibitor III) have decreased the lifespan of the patients, and therefore, it is an absolute no for heart failure patients.
You should continue to take Pletoz for as long as your doctor recommends. Your doctor will assess your progress after 3 months of treatment and may recommend you to discontinue Pletoz if it is not working for you. This medicine helps to control your condition but does not cure it. It is important to keep taking your medicine even if you feel well.
The government has banned the paediatric use of the common fever and pain drug nimesulide for its adverse effects on the liver, in a much- delayed move. The decision was taken by the Union health ministry after experts on the Drug Technical Advisory Board recommended banning the drug along with five others.
Cilostazol was administered at a primary dose of 100 mg twice daily. The dose could be reduced to 50 mg twice daily if patients experienced an adverse event that might have been drug related. Conclusions: This long-term study demonstrated no safety signal for cilostazol on all-cause or cardiovascular mortality.
Current indications vary by country, but are generally limited to mild-to-moderate acute pain for which the recommended dose in adults is 100 mg twice daily for no more than 15 days. Chronic therapy is not generally recommended, and nimesulide is considered contraindicated in children.
The improvement is not seen immediately. Your symptoms may start improving after 2-4 weeks of starting the treatment. However, it may take about 12 weeks to notice the full benefits of the medicines.
Nimesulide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with pain medication and fever reducing properties. Its approved indications are the treatment of acute pain, the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, and primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescents and adults above 12 years old.
Nimesulide Suspension does not make you feel drowsy at prescribed doses. However, an overdose of Nimesulide Suspension can make you drowsy (feeling sleepy).
