Diprobate Plus Lotion is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Zinc Sulfate. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Zinc Sulfate works as an astringent and antiseptic on the skin.

This medicine when used in higher doses and for long periods can get absorbed in the blood circulation and cause adrenal suppression and Cushings syndrome. It can cause weight gain, high blood pressure and rounding of the face. Its application can cause a change in the color of skin.
