Yes, you can use Candid-V and tacrolimus together. However, you may have to keep a watch on the side effects of tacrolimus. Though it happens rarely, the risk of side effects may increase due to increase in levels of tacrolimus because of Candid-V. But if it happens, talk to your doctor who will modify the dose of tacrolimus.
How should Candid-V be applied?
You should wash your hands properly before using Candid-V. Candid-V comes along with an applicator. Fill the applicator with the cream and insert it into the vagina. Release the medicine into the vagina and remove the applicator. Use it every day before going to bed for 7 days. Wash the applicator after each use.
What should I do if the infection comes back?
Candid-V can be used again if the candidal infection returns after 7 days. However, if the candidal infection recurs more than twice within six months, you should consult your doctor whether it is candidal infection or something else.
